Grading & Excavation

Earthwork, site excavation and development requires exact location, elevation and grades throughout the entire project.  Scott Contracting uses lasers and laser guided machines to ensure this happens.  Whether digging foundations, service lines, septic systems, drainage ditches or pools, we have several excavators in several sizes.  We have a complete line of wrist buckets and thumbs, to suit the needs of any size residential and commercial projects.  Our professional approach takes into account all facets of a project, from pre-planning & equipment mobilization to environmental protection ensuring the safety of our people, the public and the job site. 

Demolition & Land Clearing

Natural obstacles, terrain, timber, brush, stumps and rock, especially for vineyards, can make land clearing a challenging task. Foundation Underpinning

In construction, underpinning is the process of strengthening and stabilizing the foundation of an existing building or other structure.  We have performed foundation underpinning jobs for numerous commercial buildings and homes working closely with engineers to ensure the proper installation of underpinning solutions for your foundation.

Foundation underpinning is often required to restore the load-bearing capacities of walls that have become weak over time due to settlement. Foundation underpinning adds support and stabilization where there has been a change of the structural configuration due to natural movement, shifting, or settlement, including any damages the home or building may have sustained.

HDPE High Density Polyethylene Pipelines

We install high density polyethylene (HDPE) products for industrial, fire protection, mining, slurry, municipal, mechanical, dewatering and irrigation applications. The unique properties of high density polyethylene pipe have offered an alternative to traditional material like steel and copper and also in non pressure applications where clay and fibre cement pipes were used. 

Piping made from polyethylene is a cost effective solution for a broad range of piping applications and has been tested and proven effective for above ground, surfaced, buried slip-lined, floating and subsurface marine applications.

High-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe can carry potable water, waste water, slurries, chemicals, hazardous wastes, and compressed gasses. In fact, polyethylene pipe has a long and distinguished history of service in the gas, oil, mining and other industries. It has the lowest repair frequency per kilometer of pipe per year compared with all other pipe materials used for urban gas distribution.

Polyethylene is a strong, extremely tough, very durable product which offers long service and trouble-free installation.

Road Building

We meet the rising demand for roads and infrastructure, and serve as a prime contractor from pre-planning to complete construction. Our specialized services include underdrain systems, shouldering, and base course placement and grading. Before we initiate construction of a road system, a closer look is taken as to its layout favoring road construction that results in natural and easily maintainable shoulders and slopes as opposed to roads that have overly deep ditches or steep cut banks.

Environmental Remediation

And not just a favourite catchphrase either, Environmental Remediation is a responsibility we take seriously in the excavatiing industry.  We perform services for remediation, excavation and disposal of contaminated material, and are experienced at working in ecologically sensitive areas including creeks, rivers and lakes.  Scott Contracting environmental remediation deals with the removal of pollution or contaminants from environmental media such as soil, groundwater, sediment, or surface water.
